The other week I received a text from Jo, she asked if I could come to her house in Balham early evening on Saturday and turn her kitchen into a nail bar for four very excited 9-year-olds. I love doing the kids parties, they’re so fun, and the general chat is hilarious, one of the girls asked if I have an assistant! I said I don’t and I asked her if she has an assistant, she replied ‘yes my mum, but she’s a bit lazy sometimes.’

The other fun part of the kids parties is the colours they choose. One of the girls had every nail a different colour, and the birthday girl had black and yellow bumble bee nails (which they sang, a lot). Lastly, one went for red and gold spots and blue and gold alternate nails!

When I left they were getting pizza, the chocolate fountain was about to go on and they were having a slumber party, the perfect party for a 9-year-olds! In fact, I’d quite like the same for my 32nd birthday!
